The end of a very varied year
Our last event of the year was a winter wedding. We had crossed our fingers and held our breath a few days before as all the flowers and foliage in our barn workshop had frozen in the buckets as the temperature hit -14 degrees but all was well.
Driving cross country to the marquee in the grounds of a farm we saw herds of deer peeking over the fences and galloping across the snowy fields which made a lovely sight and wished we had time to take photos. Bridal flowers of deepest burgundy were duly delivered to the bride and the foliage hoops hung in the marquee finished off with strings of the tiniest lights wound through the foliage and nested in the glass baubles.
Two days later all snow had vanished and the temperature was warmer; it was time to finish off those Christmas orders for wreaths, garlands and table decorations for festive tables before taking a well-earned break until the New Year.
We wish you all a very Happy New Year for 2023!
